Hello
My name is Tyler Parrott, and I am a licensed contractor with 25+ years’ experience in residential finish carpentry and custom woodworking, including trim, baseboard, crown molding, coffered ceilings, wainscoting, doors/windows, along with custom cabinetry and shelving installation. My work has been featured in very high-end custom residential homes, including the Portland Street of Dreams and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, and has been highlighted in Oregon Home Magazine. Over the years, I have also managed a team of finish carpenters, training them to the exacting standards needed for high-quality custom finish work.
My Story
In addition to my extensive finish carpentry experience, I graduated from American Home Inspector Training in 2019 and developed a successful home inspection business in Bend, Oregon. Working as an Oregon Certified Home Inspector for 4 years allowed me to expand my skill set in identifying needed home repairs and to work closely with many different real estate agents and home buyers/sellers in Central Oregon.
After closing my home inspection business, my family and I traveled the country for about a year, visiting 25 states from Oregon, east to Maine, then south to North Carolina, with stops including Mt Rushmore, the Badlands, Cuyahoga National Park, Lake Placid, Acadia National Park, Woodstock, Washington DC, and Knotts Island NC. During that time, I homeschooled our 9-year old daughter and supported my wife’s full-time remote career by acting as teacher, personal chef, housekeeper, route planner, activities coordinator, long-haul fifth wheel driver, and RV repair technician.
Upon our return from traveling, we decided to relocate from Oregon to Texas to live closer to my wife’s family. We settled in Seguin, TX, where we have begun to grow new roots and acclimate to the warmer weather. In addition to my wife and two daughters (one who is an adult and who lives in Phoenix), we share our lives with our Fox Red English Lab named Poppy and our 2 cats, Walker and Cleo. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, bike riding, traveling, camping, hiking, and spending time with my family and friends.
